Noakh gasped loudly as he felt the burning. Hilzen looked at him, in surprise, still holding the vial of holy water. The eyes of his friend Aquo shifted to look at the flask.

"It makes sense that Holy Water would not heal a Fireo," Hilzen assumed, closing the vial and handing it back to Noakh to keep it safe.

"Don't ever use that on me again," he said, still with bated breath and a terrible burning in the cut of his right lobe.

It had been a rough ride, the men of that damned Suruyana had taken him back to his horse, thus allowing him to return to the place where the wedding had taken place and tell Yarna and the rest of the guests what had happened in detail.

"Try this ointment then," Dabayl's father suggested, offering Hilzen a jar. "I'm sure it won't leave any marks on his ear."

At that moment there was a knock at the door. It was Dabayl who opened the door, Noakh leaned down to see who it was. Meanwhile, Hilzen continued to apply the greasy ointment. The strong smell of the product instantly cleared his lungs.

On the other side of the door stood Yarna. The bride's eyes were so red they looked bloodshot, she had scabs on her face from how much she seemed to have cried, she was even still dressed in her flashy yellow wedding dress, now filthy with mud and blood.

"Dabayl, I can't sponsor you."
